Dear friends,
April is just around the corner and we would like to invite you to three concerts we will play next month.
April 3rd, 20:00 | Mizna Blumenthal Gallery, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art - ‘Po’em Balev’
The main piece in this concert, as part of the series dedicated to Israeli music, is a premiere of Haim Permont’s new quintet, written especially for our group. We will also perform pieces by Tamar Shalit James and Stephen Horenstein, as well as a movement from a quintet by the series' founder, Yehuda Zisapel, in his memory.
In conclusion, we will host Maya Belsitzman (voice and cello) and Matan Ephrat (percussion) for the performance of a selection of their arrangements.
In the following playlist you can listen to our previous concert in the series. It includes pieces by Aharon Harlap, Yehuda Zisapel, Joachim Stutschewsky, Yinam Leef, Bnaya Halperin-Kaddari and Amit Gilutz:
April 5th, 11:00 | Rishonim Auditorium, Even Yehuda
A colorful program for the weekend. We begin with Bach and Telemann’s baroque gems and finish with a musical tribute to Passover's famous appetizer - 'Gefilte Fish', from Jean-Philippe Calvin’s 'Kleztet'.
April 21st, 19:00 | The Clore Centre for the Performing Arts, Kfar Blum
We are thrilled to return to the Upper Galilee with a special program for wind trio: Oboe, clarinet and bassoon, the celebrated ‘Trio d'anches’. The evening includes two pieces from the Divertimento genre: By Mozart and by Erwin Schulhoff, a Czech-Jewish composer who perished in the holocaust, leaving behind a large variety of fascinating compositions. Pieces by Jacques Ibert, Handel and Beethoven are also in the program.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, hoping for better days and good news,
Members of the Tel Aviv Wind Quintet
